Act It Out!

Tip Details

Act It Out!: Make an overhead transparency of a sequence of actions (or use a document camera or projector) like making a peanut butter sandwich)and have a student volunteer mime each action while the class responds with what is happening in the frame. For beginners, the teacher can model the language that describes each action in the sequence and the students can repeat the descriptive phrase (i.e. “He spreads the peanut butter.” etc.)
