Left or Right?

Tip: Ask a question and write 2 answers on the board-one on the left and one on the right. Students point to the correct answer. Discuss. Repeat.  Even students who are in their silent period can participate by silently pointing to what they think is the correct answer.  Teachers can assess student comprehension quickly by looking to see how students point.  The teacher can also direct students to choose their answer, but before they point, close their eyes and on 3: "1, 2, 3..vote!"
