Tip: What am I?
Brainstorm in small groups or whole class a list of the key vocab you are studying. Students write one of the words on a card. Mix cards and tape on their backs or hold facing out on foreheads. Students mingle and ask one question to each person to guess their own word.
Variations & Extensions:
Fast/early finishers help by answering questions of those who did not guess what they are. Students with lower language proficiency work in a pair with a student with higher proficiency. Make a list of questions or question starters on the board that students can refer to ask they mingle and talk. Students who finish early can get another word taped to their back or placed on their forehead. When students finish they can write a sentence, paragraph, or essay using 1-5 of the key words.
