How do I do it?
When presenting new information do it with visuals BUT be sure to STOP every 10 minutes with older students and every 5 with younger students to have them process or practice the new information (e.g. a pair-share). Use this handy planning guide to plan out your 10-2 or 5-1 lesson! This will support student comprehension and allow you to assess student learning by listening in on student conversations or reading their written responses.
