Tip: I'm the Teacher!

How do I do it?
To study for a test or to practice with new content information use "I’m the Teacher." Tell the students the chapter, outline, story, or information they will be working with.  Tell them if it is open or closed book. Arrange students in triads or small groups, and choose a leader.  Give each student a whiteboard, dry erase marker, and eraser. The teacher directs the students to either: say, write, draw, or point. 
For example, “Write the capital of the United States on your whiteboard."
"Draw the parts of a cell on your whiteboard."  
"Say the reasons why we people have civil wars."  
"Point to the most important character in the paragraph.” 
Students show their answers, discuss, and repeat with the same leader for a predetermined number of turns or switch leaders to the right every turn. 

Variations & Extensions
The students can keep points: 1 point for a right answer.  The teacher can offer a bonus question every once in a while for 5 points.
