Tip: Shared Story Ball
How do I do it?
Create a story by passing a foam ball. When caught, students add a sentence to story. Teacher records on computer, overhead or board.
Variations & Extensions
Direct students to include particular vocabulary or grammatical structures. Provide sentence starters or frames to assist students in composing their sentence like, “Then...” or “Next, the ____ went _______.” etc. Students can also be paired for support.
